I will guide you every step of the way through a multi-phase process from the beginning until your practice is established and you begin receiving clients. My approach is clear, detailed, and comes from a place of being a natural teacher and mentor.

My Story
From "impossible" to "I'm-possible."
My journey in the field of mental health began in 2004 while I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Child Development (2006) from California State University of Los Angeles. My passion for mental health grew as I strongly resonated with extreme need for services in the Latino community, specially, with having a mentally ill parent.
In 2009 I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University, Los Angeles. With aspirations to become a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist I took on the task of obtaining my clinical hours but I also desired higher pay and the opportunity to professionally grow which led me to the field of child protective services where, I remained for over five years (2014-2019). Although the pay was great (low six figures), I felt that something was missing and I didn't feel as if I was on the right path, the one that brought me financial fulfillment, personal satisfaction, and complete control of my life. However, to want and achieve all three things at the same time felt impossible and very far from reality but I knew that I had to try and had to remain consistent regardless of the challenges that I knew I would face along the way. So.........!
In May of 2018 I became licensed and I began my private practice journey however, searching for answers through social media groups, doing google searches, and watching Youtube videos was time consuming and confusing because I was trying to establish my practice based off of someone else's goals rather than my own goals and aspirations. My dream was to be in business for myself and to have complete control over my decision making process and time, without anyone giving me orders or determining my worth. After 14 months of trials and errors I was able to perfect my strategy and began increasing my clientele. As a result, I was able to make the successful transition from my full-time job to my private practice in September of 2019 with my private practice being my only income.
In January of 2020 I initiated my MBA with a specialization in small business enterprise. While Covid restrictions kept us confined I capitalized on virtually meeting with my clients while attending to my MBA program online. I then began incorporating what I was learning into my private practice to scale it to a group practice.
In May of 2021 I successfully obtained my MBA and by October 2021 I had already onboarded two associate clinicians under my supervision and had transitioned from being a solo-practitioner to the beginning stages of a group practice. Up to date my group practice (https://discoveryfamilyservices.com) has grown beyond what I thought was possible and our growth is projected to continue throughout 2024.
Since 2021 I have also coached and offered consultation services to other licensed therapists who have achieved success in their own private practices. All have generated a constant flow of clients to the extent of having waitlists or turning clients away due to being at full capacity. Some have also transitioned from high earning jobs into their own private practices full-time.

I share this with you because everything is possible with the right plan and strategy. Most importantly, having the right resources and people at your side will help you achieve the level of success that you desire.

Coaching & consulting by the hour.
The one-to-one coaching & consulting option by the hour is designed to specifically meet you where you are in your private practice journey to answer any questions that you have. This option may be beneficial for therapists who are thinking about getting started, are ready to get started, or have already started but find themselves feeling unsure of what to do next. This option offers the flexibility to reach out and schedule a
coaching or consulting session whenever you
decide you need it. With this option, the focus will be on specifically answering any questions that you bring to the session as well as providing you with suggestions that lead to your end goal.

Service option #2
Coaching & consulting package.
This one-to-one coaching & consulting package is multi-faceted over a 120 day period and covers everything from A-Z to establish your private practice. This process is results driven, requires deadlines for completing tasks and we will mutually be held accountable for your success. With this approach a plan of action is established for each month of work that we do together, ultimately leading you into having your own private practice by the end of the 120 days.

This option offers you a weekly Zoom call (one hour) along with e-mail check-ins during each week throughout your 120 day coaching period to ensure that you are on track to establishing your private practice by the time your 120 day process concludes.
